Playing beat detective to spot the beat master! We can use our bodies for percussion  in different ways. 

Shadow Men!

Today we made figures out of pipe cleaners and used plasticine for their shoes so they could stand up! By shining a torch behind them we were able to cast a shadow. We had a go at drawing the shadows too. It was a challenge to try and hold the torch still! 

Electricity - conductor or insulator?

Theo found out that a skateboard wheel is an insulator!

Week 6 - Respecting our environment!

This week our focus is to respect the environment that we learn and play in. We thought about what would happen if we don't pick up the rubbish? 

It would end up in the lake and bushes. This is not good for the animals like birds and fish. If the environment is not nice the animals will disappear like in the book. 'The Waterhole'

Building circuits - investigating the flow of electricity. We learnt that electricity is made up of electrons.

Can the electrons flow through corks and play dough ? Alex gives it a go!

We have been thinking about what things in our house have electricity making them go.We have been thinking about how electricity flows through circuits. 

Miss Tonks let us look inside her broken computer. We saw lots of small circuits and talked about how computers are recycled for gold!
